Midwest Street Medicine is on a mission to bring healthcare directly to the people who need it most. We envision communities where all people have a chance at health and dignity where no lives are cut short by stigma.

MISSION & HISTORY.
Midwest Street Medicine was founded in July 2023 as the vision of Dr. Shannon Emry, who was inspired by street medicine teams operating other states. She soon partnered with Dr. Melissa Dittberner (Dr. Mo) as cofounder, and together they assembled a diverse team of professionals from medicine, public health, recovery, and lived experience to bring compassionate, low barrier care directly to people experiencing homelessness.
