St. Louis To Host Beard and Mustache Competition

The St. Louis Beard & Mustache Club will organize a contest in August to benefit a local organization.

The 10th Annual St. Louis Beard & Mustache Competition is an event where those with facial hair can compete in multiple categories for prize packs and trophies. The contest will also have a live auction and a 50/50 raffle. Companies interested in sponsoring the unique competition can pay between $100 and $1,000. All sponsors will be featured on the T-shirts made for the event. Businesses that purchase higher sponsorship tiers will receive banner recognition at the contest and a shout-out on the event’s Facebook page.

The St. Louis Beard & Mustache Club is a non-profit organization that wishes to change workplace policies that force people to shave for their positions. The group also organizes educational activities about facial hair and activities like bowling trips. The club meets at many local venues, including the Square One Brewery & Distillery and Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. People can pay $5 to become a member of the organization. The group’s monthly dues also cost $5.

The competition will be held on August 5th at the Old Rock House and will begin at 6:30 pm. The money earned from the event will benefit Dogs for Our Brave, which is an organization that provides trained service dogs to veterans. Clubs that hold fundraisers and contests like this may promote their events with poster printing services.
