Appalachian Beard Feud 4″ has started coming down the tracks, the train is leaving the station, next stop is Ghent, West “By God” Virginia!!! Please keep all hands and feet inside the train car!!
June 6th-8th, 2025 is the yearly “ABM Family Reunion”!! Not only will we have a Beard Competiton, but also the “Second” World Famous; Miss Mountain Momma – Pin Up Pageant!!
This year we will be raising funds for Concord University in Athens WV and their “GAP” program, which assists those students that may face challenges such as helping those students that may not be able to afford the class books needed to take their courses – to assisting with meals for the students that are struggling… The “GAP” program is scheduled to have a booth at the venue on Saturday to explain all that they do and the processes they use to determine eligibility of each student in need.
So, in other words, we are not only going to give you some amazing chances of winning a trophy or two, but on Sunday, we will be sending you home with a heart filled full of love, and memories for a lifetime!!
Friday June 6th, yes, we are starting this year off a day early so we can go make some “SPECIAL” memories, on an all-day ATV Excursion!!
Friday morning all participants will meet in the venue parking lot at a predetermined time, then we will travel to the nearest “Trail Head” meet up with the outfitters and guides for a safety brief, then once we are all signed in, we will jump in rented ATV’s which will be there waiting for us, (You are welcome to bring your personal ATV if desired), we will jump in the ATV’s and off we go for a fun, fast, muddy day totally off the rails, trail ride!! Yall better be flipping the coins “before” we get there, to see who is driving first… We will travel the “Hatfield and McCoys” ATV Trails down to Gilbert, WV to the “Hatfield and McCoy Moonshine Distillery”!! Can you see the theme coming to life? While there we will have lunch and get to see the history, and inner workings of the distillery by a direct blood descendant from the Devil Anse Hatfield side, of the feuding families, distilling on the same property and using the same recipe, as Devil Anse Hatfield and Ol Randall McCoy (The Feud carried on from 1863-1891)!! After lunch we will jump back on the trails, head back to the trail head, then back to the venue for an evening of festivities and a meet & greet full of fun filled activities and live music.
Saturday, morning breakfast buffet in the dining room, then…. The second Miss Mountain Momma Pin Up Pageant will take over the stage around noon, registration for the beard competition will open at noon also and stay open until 2:30pm!! Then the Appalachian Bearded Feud 4 takes over the stage at 3pm, to see who brought their “A” game and who will try to upset the reigning “Best in Show” title holder, and lay claim to getting their name engraved on the huge “BIS” Trophy, so let the facial hair fly!!
Sunday Morning, breakfast will be available for all individuals who request “Sunday” breakfast on check in day!! Please remember to tell the front desk your intentions!!
